Strongest Families Institute (SFI) is an award-winning Canadian charity providing evidence-based, bilingual mental health programs to children, youth, adults, and families across the country. Using our innovative virtual coaching model, SFI removes barriers like stigma, geography, and cost—ensuring families receive the help they need, when they need it most.
We are seeking a volunteer Board Member with a finance or accounting background to serve as Chair of our Finance Committee and play a key leadership role in advancing mental health care in Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic financial oversight, helping guide SFI’s continued growth and sustainability.
- Lead the SFI Board Finance Committee and collaborate with senior management to review budgets, financial statements, and forecasts.
- Contribute to fiduciary governance, risk management, and fiscal accountability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on financial matters.

Who You Are
- CPA designation or equivalent experience in finance and accounting.
- Strategic thinker.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passionate about innovation in mental health and social impact.
- Committed to inclusive, effective governance and ethical stewardship.
